the best banana fritters in the world..........that's why you only get to see one only cos i ate the rest before i remembered to take a pix of it.

had 8 pieces of these banana fritters with golden syrup..crispy,crunchy to the last bite.

gunung batur & lake batur

mt. batur,1717 ft above dea level, before the clouds engulfed it. the last time the volcano erupted was in 1974. the dark brown patches on the feet of the mountain are the result of the lava flowing from the crater..pelaba ka aku.

lake batur..resembles lake como in italy or lake lugano.

3 of us did not dare to get out of the van upon seeing monkeys everywhere at Uluwatu Temple. If I had known that monkeys were everywhere at the temple ground, I would gladly give this part of the tour package a miss but Pak Nyoman came back for the 3 of us and assured us that especially me that he would take care of me. see,what a good tour guide. I prayed real hard that none of the monkeys walking about would jump onto my shoulders as one did jump onto the back of a Japanese girl after it was attracted by her dangling earrings. Eeechak... Visitors are advised to take off their necklaces,earrings or anything that would attract the monkeys especially munching food on your way to the temple. The monkeys are here to protect the temple,ko Pak Nyoman. Indai Dian would have no problem with the monkeys after having been on friendly terms with the orang utans...( To Indai Dian...sayang,amat berani nuan mangku urang utan nya. Aku remban meda sida nya even on tv.)

Nya kenu kelia,ba pulau bali,pulau ke kumbai sida 'island of the gods' dia deh ba hutan ke benama Dandaka,Sita,bini Rama bisi meda siko rusa ke manah sekali,rusa emas,betanda depan mua iya. Dia meh iya lalu ngasoh laki iya,Rama, nangkap/ngasu rusa emas nya. Laban laki iya sigi amat sayau ke Sita,dia meh tudah tuai lalu nurut utai ko bini iya lalu nurun ngasu rusa emas tu tadi. Tang tudah Rama takut ninggal ke Sita kediri,dia iya ninggal Sita ba tangan menyadi iya Laksamana. Enda lama udah nya bisi utai balat munyi kacau,dia Sita ngasuh Laksamana ngesah Rama takut ke iya ke lesi bebadi. Ka pan enda Sita lalu tinggal kediri ba utan Dandaka.

Enda mukai -mukai ari pan kudi lalu tudah Sita tu takut. Rhawana,musuh ketat lalu tiba-tiba muncul ba depan mua Sita lalu ka nangkap iya laban di pelaba ke aku,iya bisi naruh harapan ba Sita tang alah laban Rama. Bendar iya ka nangkap Sita tang Sita di jaga ulih magic circle,lalu enda ulih di tangkap.

Meda iya enda ulih nangkap Sita,dia Rhawana ngaga diri nyadi apai tuai urang lalu Sita pan kena tipu lalu ulih di tangkap Rhawana lalu di bai iya ngagai istana iya di Alengka. Dalam pejalai iya ke istana iya,dia siko agi musuh ketat Rhawana,iya nya Garuda belaban enggau Rhawana laban ke ka nyelamat Sita ari Rhawana. Udah seduai iya bibat dia deh Garuda rari sempat madah ke Rama nama penyadi Sita.

Rama ngiga bini iya,Sita. Iya betemu enggau Sugriwa,raja kera merah lalu minta tulong iya ngiga Sita. Seduai iya lalu ngiga istana Alengka,iya nya alai Rhawana diau,endor iya nyimpan Sita. Seduai tetemu ke istana nya lalu minta tulong siko agi kera,iya mya kera putih ke bisi nemu ngajih benama Hanoman. Rama meri sebentuk cincin ngagai Hanoman ngambi ke Sita nemu Hanoman nya urang ke datai nyelamat iya diasoh Rama.

Hanoman minta tulong Trijata laban deka betemu enggau Sita. Sita benong ka munoh diri tang udah tepeda ke cincin dibai Hanoman,dia iya batal program ka munuh diri. Hanoman sempat madah ke Sita laki iya deka datai nyelamat iya. Hanoman deka ngeruboh ke istana Rhawana tang ditangkap bala antu gerasi lalu ka di tunu urang idup-idup iya. Tang iya ulih ngerari ke diri.

Enda lama udah nya,urang muda datai...iya nya Rama..datai nyelamat ke bini iya Sita. Bala army kera belaban enggau army gerasi. Rama betemu mua enggau Rhawana lalu belaban seduai. Rhawana alah. Sita enggau Rama betemu baru and lived happily ever after.

Sita dikelingi magic circle...iya ke bendar ba cerita amat,bala kera ke nyaga utan tu.

Ha..ha..ha..lagi asai nuan..aku nangkap nuan,ko Rhawana madah ke Sita.

Ha..ha..wait til I get hold of you,laughed Rhawana after he got hold of Sita.

Trijata betemu enggau Sita ke benong deka munuh diri. Nasib endar iya tumu datai enti enda tusah ati Rama meda Sita munuh diri.

while waiting for pak nyoman to fetch us at 4pm to go to the next item on our prog,we decided to look at the surrounding tiny shops near the hotel and all of a sudden,we saw and heard a funeral procession coming our way. see,how smartly dressed the balinese even in times of sorrow.

ibu khalolind part of the package tour that rba offered to us was a 2hr spa massage at ratu spa centre. after breakfast a van was sent to the hotel to fetch us to the spa. here are some pix of us getting ready to enjoy the massage. the centre is a 3 storey high building with a lot of rooms for them to do the massage. nyamai endar tubuh di massage.

Ramayana hotel,kuta

after a little bit of confusion over the hotel booking,we were quickly ushered to our respective rooms and were told to have our breakfast at the restaurant. apalagi..what a lot of food! unlike the breakfast buffet we have over in m'sia,the food was plentiful..crispy bacon as in babi bacon because 90% of balinese are hindu. Even in jakarta,crispy bacons are served at the buffet table even though it's a muslim country. anyway,if you want to eat lots & lots of bacon for breakfast,go to denpasar. oh ya,our rooms were very nice and doria & hubby got to sleep in a bedroom with bed complete with mosquito netting ..kibong..

our hotel,ramayana is highly recommended for people who like to shop,look at people passing by.

plenty of shops,even marks & spencer is just down the road in a mall,coffee bean and plenty of spas.security is tight,so feel safe. everybody that passes by goes through some security checks. we shopped til 10pm..kuta is just waking up..mat sallehs everywhere. now,i know why the mat sallehs love to go to bali..people esp in kuta are courteous & hospitable. hardly saw any old taxis in denpasar. their vans & taxis which look like our recently launched blue proton sagas are a lot decent looking. they are everywhere waiting to send you from point a to point b.

Cubaan or blessing in disguise,that's what I called it when we found out that our flight's schedule was retimed when we were checking in at the RBA counter. The flight to Denpasar was retimed to 5.40 sunday morning. So,how or what are you going to do about 8 ibu-ibu who were trying to 'santai & libur' in the island of the gods,i asked the staff. (btw, i'm typing with my left hand cos my right hand is in great pain..will tell you later about it)Awda semua akan dibawa ke orchid hotel.....blah..blah.wait at the money changer counter and in a few minutes a driver will fetch all of you to spend the night at orchid hotel with dinner provided,said one of the staff. true to her words, we were fetched,given dinner & our rooms were nice. i saw the smiles back on the ibu-ibu's faces again after given the unexpected hospitality by rba. mind you,it's not easy leading a group of ladies but praise God,all of us have this spirit of:ngak apa, bisa di aturrr,dong!

by 2.30am,a wake up call was made by the hotel staff and at 3am,about 80 of us,stranded passengers bound for denpasar were driven to the airport and 3/4 of the passengers were orang putih.

the flight to denpasar was smooth,the weather was fine and by 8am,we landed at ngurah rai airport,bali. we were worried about the unexpected. would the officials be like the ones at the airport in jakarta? surprise..surprise & thanks be to God who answered our prayers,the officials were courteous and God sent us a very nice tour guide,pak nyoman & a careful driver. If you can drive in Bali,you're definitely a very good driver.
