Remember that Cuti-Cuti Malaysia song by Siti Nurhaliza?? something about SEMUA ADA DISINI...well I'd like to borrow the wordings to describe Miri City..'the' place, Miri. Despite the many tikus that Miri has,the smelly drains at most eating places,the sputum on most pathways,pavements ( for a moment one could be forgiven for thinking it's Hongkong or Shenzen where people of all ages & genders just spit indiscriminately be it in the restaurants or malls..I'm not kidding,I had almost slipped..infact,skidded, when I stepped on the cloudy green sputum while looking at the baju at Pasar malam at Mongkok),rubbish thrown everywhere, Miri is still the place to be. Side track: I wish MPM would do something to stop people from spitting indiscriminately...like impose a fine or punish offenders by asking them to lick back their own sputum. Yaks..yaks..sorry if I spoilt your breakfast or lunch...

Old shophouses at China Street are making way for new shophouses. The street to the Fish Market is pretty chaotic during peak hours. Talking about SEMUA ADA DISINI,we have quite a number of eating places which all these years are only found in big cities but now they are here....Delifrance,Mr. Ho's,Coffee Bean,San Francisco's,Secret Recipe,Starbucks (coming soon),so many lah. Joe,if you are reading this,Miri has all of these,now. (Side track: When Joe,the anak orang putih who's 6'7" tall first set foot in Miri,he was surprised that Miri has big shopping malls & we've McDonald's,Kentucky Fried Chicken,etc.,.) So MAS or Airsia, for all I care, you can raise the airfares as high as you people can..I don't need to go to KL to enjoy such food.

SEMUA ADA DISINI..Miri. ( I know,I know,still a lot more..Baskins & Robbins ( not sure of the spelling) apalagi..Kah Soh curry fish head..bal..bla..bla...

Tamu Sarberkas

It's Friday again! amat jampat ari betukar.Hopefully, it will not rain this Friday. On most Fridays,the rain came down..don't know why but it seems the rain likes to fall on Fridays.
The tamu for the month of ramadan is open every afternoon til evening time. All types of curries,kurmas,rendangs,umai,etc., are available. There is one stall that sells crispy curry puffs.
Besides the food,the magazine lama stalls are also open. They do have quite a selection of outdated magazines of Paris Hilton,Brad Pitt,Jennifer Aniston,etc.,.
You can also find some stalls selling clothings and there is one in particular which I call the tamu FOS...Factory Outlet Stall,trading opposite AgniCrafts' shop,selling nice t-shirts,made in Brunei,..brands like Karen Scott,Women,Classic at dirt cheap prices of RM7/-each. These are the rejects..the good ones they send to UK & Australia..probably can find them at Target's,Myer's or Harrod's but you have to pay $$$$$$$ more. Really nice cotton t shirts.
After all the shoppings,take a seat at Aseanika's for their ice lemon tea to quench your thirst...& maybe order some satay.

Ni enda tudah uchu ulih enggau nemu urang ke bejual udah datai. Ha..ha.

Kami bedau lama tu tadi bisi meda Pasar Ramadan ba carpark Indoor Stadium. Aku lalu tuchum ingat ke Mary nusoi uchu iya Gwen ke nemu endar madah ke iya ti sida ke bejual ba pasar ramadan udah datai. Eemmm,udah datai sida iya ini,ko Gwen,laban bau asap urang ke nunu manuk datai ba apartment sida iya. Adai pan tan duit maia bulan puasa tu..nasi briyani ke rega RM6/- nya di pinta Gwen,ko ini iya,ngulih ke pah manuk besai agi. Abis di pakai iya..nyamai nasi briyani tu,ini,ko Gwen. Ha..ha..ha..
Aku baka Gwen..start bulan puasa,aku alu enggau urang bebeli ke utai dijual urang ba tamu..selalu dulu berbuka puasa kami duai Agnes ba Aseanika. Jam kami dua selalu tumu agi ari jam bala Melayu ke berbuka puasa. Jam waktu Sydney.
Nya meh..ngagai bala kitai ke berpuasa,Selamat Berpuasa!

so little money...so so so many fund raisings

Everywhere one goes in Miri,one is bound to meet some people asking for money especially outside the entrance of most banks,'dreams-come-true' outlets,coffee shops,tamu & shopping malls. 2 weeks ago,it was the Red Crescent Flag selling weekend. Most times when we sat at coffee shops,we were interrupted by either fellow kaki lepak or some other friends with their children's schools' joggerthon cards,church's joggerthon cards or dinner tickets be they from one of the political parties,associations or churches. You name it...everywhere there is an appeal for money for this,an appeal for money for that..donate money to this,donate money to that.. It's money..money..money and more money.
One would think that with the cost of living burdening most people,the appeal for this & that would lessen but NO it seems.
I have 2 joggerthon cards in my hands. Care to donate? On second thought,I'd better not ask people to donate. I'll just donate whatever I can afford.

It is mid September,2008. Munyi ko J,bulan sembilan diatu. Amat enda berasai ari laban ke maioh amat 'happening' sepemanjai bulan bulan tu ke udah. September will also come & go faster than I would like it to be. One engagement dinner & one more wedding reception to go for this month & it will be October. No kad saman for the month of October,yet. We had breakfast at Taman Yakin Cafe this morning & we bumped into E & A who,despite now being September,are already having Xmas mood. Ka kin kami duai ko seduai nunju ke kedai curtains ba ujung shoplots alai kami breakfast..kada ke bisi good offers for the curtains. Amat..maia ka Hari Raya endang tau meli perengka rumah laban most shops have good offers. J udah 'ching..ching..ching' ko E..reti nya udah order curtains ka kena Xmas...udah bisi Xmas mood. Nuan enda 'ching..ching..ching..?" ko seduai. Tumu endar ko aku nyaut.

Dor bisi nanya whether aku bisi meda turkey ba SupaSave di Seria maia aku kin last week...alu demonstrate kati ko roast trukey ko iya. Enda aku nemu roast turkey..nganti Indai Shayna bisi ari ila ngasoh iya demonstrate ko aku. Bisi aku meda,ko aku..asai ke B$60+ siko..nadai meda sida turkey ba Miri yet. Ti bala ke ka makai turkey anang laun meli & stock ba fridge. I have a good mind to buy those turkeys in bulk & come Xmas when people are desperately looking high & low for kuloks,I'll sell them at a high price.
I'll get from my supplier, from Bintulu. Ha..ha..ha..

Oh Mama,saya mahu kahwin.........

Bala ke serambau enggau aku tentu agi ingat ke lagu "Oh Mama,saya mahu kahwin.." Kami suba ti bala bisi di temu ka kahwin kami alu belagu "Oh mama,saya mahu kahwin" kena beduan pangan ke ka kawin.Dua ari beturut tu tadi maia aku ke garing-garing meda tv,dia deh aku ninga honk kereta ba mua gate aku,aku lalu nilik ari jendela,peda aku anak bujang kami sida mummy iya ba gate. Aku lalu pansut & iya alu nyua kad saman. Ha..ha..aku enda tau enda bejimat pama nulis utai ba blog..sekampung nemu utai ditulis aku.
Tiap tiap kali ti aku bisi ninga bala anak kawan ke ka kahwin tau ke ka betunang, aku alu nanya ke umur. Bala kawan alu madah ke umur anak sida. Ti umur udah kira ke tau bebini belaki aku alu madah.."Aruh iya ga tudah ka bebini/belaki/betunang," ko aku. Maia group kami suba laban ke 'charming endar',munyi ko Jinet,tumu endar kami belaki. Kitai suba neh,Endu,Nyun,Na... munyi ko lagu "Jangan tunggu lama lama,nanti di ambil orang.." Ha..ha..ha..
Nyu ngingat ke maia kami suba,aku tumu endar belaki,baru umur 21 taun+ ke belaki enggau jejaka idaman,munyi ko lagu Raja Ema. Umur D manggai 29 lebuh nya ( umur tau bebini..ti laun ari nya,nyadi bujang trang tang tang). 2 years later baru beranak ke Jill & 4 years later beranak ke Nico. Kira ke laun bala anak ke kawin diatu..manah ga nya enda iboh beguai baka kami suba. Puas-puas ke enjoy.
