It not only rains..................

...it pours. Each time there's an early morning call(before 6am) or late night call(midnight) I knew that it's going to be the announcement of a death. Since last Saturday morning at 3am,while still in Kuching, I heard the beeping tone of my phone and quickly read it. It was a text from my sister in-law to say that her maternal grandpa had just passed away in Lundu. Another two more text messages arrived to bring in the bad news. May Aki Lundu rest in peace.
Yesterday morning's early phone call was no exception. The call was to let us know that a relative,who had been bedridden for more than 10 years, after a stroke,was finally called by God to rest with Him Eternally.
His son,in his 30s, last week,was rushed from Miri City Medical Centre to Timberland Medical Centre,Kuching because all of a sudden he could not move his body. I don't know the latest news but let's pray that God in His Mercy will grant Humphry a speedy recovery so that he can walk again and serve the Lord.
Then another relative whom we visited when we were in Kuching, is also bedridden. Last year she was dancing away during a wedding,lecturing at UPM Serdang & sometime in the middle of this year,she had a mild stroke,now,she can't even walk. Again ,let's us pray for Gen so that she gets well soon and be able to walk again.

Just finished decorating the Xmas tree

I spent the whole of yesterday 'spring cleaning' the house,from putting the carpets to dry under the sun,washed the curtains & cushion covers and put them/hang them again. I managed to move a display cabinet with a little help from a helper. I can hardly walk nor stand now. I finally decorated the xmas tree which's long overdue...you see, for those of you who know me, I normally put up my xmas tree in late November. I guess it goes with age..the older I get, the longer it takes me to get up to decorate the tree. Some Christmases past, I had Ree,Mang & Annie to do the deco. Initially ,I wanted a silver & gold theme,but decided not to, and just made do therefore with available ornaments there's in the big black garbage bag.
I'll have to go now...my back aches.

Udah di diri ka nuan xmas tree?

Enggi kami me-uchu udah di diri ka Noy Xmas tree,ko Uchuku. Ka singgit,ulih nanchang enggau tali,tambah iya baru. Ni enggi nuan,udah di diri ka nuan xmas tree?Nelly also called asking whether my xmas tree's up & decorated. She reminded me just now that the St. Columba's carollers for Pujut area would be coming to my house this coming Friday night and that my house would be the last one that they'd call on. Bedau wai,nadai entu bisi ari laban tembu beganjuh enggau blogging,nyau enda ngiboh decorate xmas tree. I have taken the xmas tree out from its hiding place for thepast11 months and thank goodness,because it was shoved into the big black gabbage bag,it's not dusty. There's not much to clean,I just took the broom out,cleared the cobwebs and the spiders,swept the floor, put the curtains & cushion covers in the washing machine and put them to dry. I would have to get a bottle of lemon oil to polish the furnitures.....& iron the cushion covers 2moro.Well, no sweat for housewife like me...practice makes perfect. ehemm!

Uchuku called tadi madah kediri sinu endar macha cerita al-kisah sida Aki Lakam sebilik. Amat kaban meh kitai wai,sama berangkat ari Aki Berasap kitai,ko iya. Pandai endar Serimah nulis cerita..aroh iya nyadi lawyer,ko iya...nemu endar nusoi cerita. Dinga nuan,Jumau,anang enggai nusoi cerita al-kisah2 bala. Bisi ciri-ciri cerita sida Mills & Boons ba part ke nadai chemistry. Ha..ha. I enjoyed reading what you wrote..keep it up.

My middle name..GADABOUT...Beganjuh

Beganjuh,aram beganjuh..kala ka agi ulih beganjuh...beganjuh aja-aja,kala agi gerai(sing to the tune of BERGADANG..jangan bergadang ,kalau tiada erti nya..something like that..)........... For those of who who forget my middle name....GADABOUT..that's my middle name. Crudely put,in Iban it would be 'kaki udu beganjuh'. Every morning, from Monday to Friday,as soon as D walks out of the door, my handphone would either start ringing or beeping. The messages would be..'Breakfast? Fetch me..I'm at home'; 'Dini dek?', asked Nel;'Nda breakfast? Nadai aku duty or ulih aku pansut lagi,'ko Uchuku. Nama brita,wai?Lawa buai batu,enda mai breakfast,said Julia. In the afternoon,'Ni,bisi ke Boulevard noon tu?Aku nganti ba Pizza Haven,said Jennica. On Fridays, Eileen would text, 'See you at tamu,ya.' & Doria also would text,'Puan,nuan bisi ke tamu? Udah aku abis aerobics,aku ke tamu.' My answer would be 'Okay..meet at 2020.' or 'okay,see you at tamu after I drop D off at the Bulatan Park.' 'Ice-lemon tea..ice-lemon tea at Aseanika,'said Nking & D.
While doing my brisk walking at the park last week, I met Katherine , and she asked,"Ni maia kitai ke ka ke Bali/Bangkok,deh?" "Anang enda mai,next year tau meh,jai endar ari,ka endar ujan and ribut balat,"ko iya. And when I met Ajik,"Passport aku udah digaga alu bedau kitai bejalai ke Bangkok." ko Ajik. "Bisi duit aku kena makai angin,apai anggat udah nyual sawit."...."berega sawit se ton diatu."(jako gaga aku..sorry Ajik)
