Grilled Cod Fish
Palm Oil is GOOD for you....
Kaya dengan Vitamin E..rich in vitamin E..that's what chef Florence Tan seems to be repeating to the crowd of makcik-makcik,ibu-ibu,ma'am-ma'am & puan-puan.
A gift consisting of a bottle of Palm Oil Cap Buruh , a bottle of mineral water,a rock cake & choc muffin & a mandarin orange + 3 recipes for every person who attended the cooking demo..
Palm Oil is good for health & is widely used in Europe & America, the countries which had previously condemned its goodness.
M'sia exports its palm oil to 124 countries.
Nutritional value of palm oil is higher than for other oil like soya oil, canola oil and olive oil when used for cooking & frying. Yes, Jamie Oliver & Nigella Lawson, please take note.
Palm cooking oil increases the level of HDL cholesterol, the good cholesterol and decreases the level of LDL cholesterol, the bad cholesterol.
Minyak Sawit Cap Buruh is good..enda bau lang.

Opening of the Legal Year 2008 Parade(25th jan 2008)
Dress rehearsal for the Opening of the Legal Year 2008
To wear or not to wear the wig? D has not made up his mind whether to wear the wig or not but Angking said he would be wearing his, regardless.. Tomorrow,in Miri, there will be a parade by Sarawak lawyers to mark the Opening of the Legal Year 2008. The lawyers are requested to be present at the lobby of Imperial Hotel by 7.30am and from there they will walk past Ming Cafe, into Jalan Sylvia before turning to the Miri Court House. So, this evening,D tried on the gown & so forth and still not sure whether to put on the wig while walking from Imperial Mall to the Court House.
Randau Pondok @Bulatan Park (2)
Cath & Cecilia
4. Sickness & Health:
The park is full of brisk walkers and joggers. Maklumlah, beginning of the year, new year resolutions to keep fit and healthy. Cath has started her brisk walking this year. Praise be to God for restoring her back to good health after a year of chemo & radiotherapy for breast cancer & for having uplifted her spiritually throughout her ordeal. Her hair is slowly growing back. Thank you,Lord. That brings the topic of mammography. Julia & I had ours done at Miri City Medical Centre yesterday. The mammography costs RM140/- One has to see Dr. Lee first(i.e. if you are going to MCMC),then he checks the breasts before sending you to the x-ray department on the 1st floor of MCMC. A lady does the x-raying,so no malu malu business. I had a bit of a problem with mine because of the excess fatty tissues on the dada/chest. The 'roller' of the mammo machine had a field day rolling and compressing the nen nen/breasts and so did the x-ray lady trying to 'gather' the nen nen in the square for photo taking. If you do not know what I am talking about, (the ladies,I mean)it's about time to go to the good doctor to have your nen nen checked. The result will be out in a week's time cos the x-rays are sent somewhere for a radiologist to interpret/read. O please dear Lord, I pray that the x-ray results would come out okay.

Randau ba pondok di Bulatan Park (1)
Kami sebuat, munyi ko gramong, enti udah badu ngeliling Bulatan Park, kami sebuat lalu duduk ba pondok berandau ke utai ke bisi nyadi. Nyadi topik kami kemari maioh bendar, start ari:
1. Sunday BPOST pasal duit EPF;pros & cons of EPF to pension scheme.
A friend said he would take it easy next year when he turns 55 & gets his RM 500,000 from EPF. Could he afford to take it easy? Indai Horn said that she's happy with her pension next year..not much but at least there's some cash every month. A said he's OMM while everybody is OKK. (Orang Miskin Miskin & Orang Kaya Kaya)
2. The translation of the Chinese writing on the wall of a kopitiam at Poh Kwong Park,Kuching which goes like this:' A man's greatest REGRET is not spending all his money before he dies. A man's greatest TRAGEDY is spending all his money and still goes on living.'
Which catergory would I fall into? The second one, I would think.
3. A lady I used to know died last year at 56 years of age because of some complications being diabetic. Her husband had the shock of his life when he discovered she had RM1m in savings. You see, her husband's a lot older than her,so she probably thought it wise to do savings for rainy days. Yes, the sun doesn't always shine, the rain must surely come another day. Pity she died before her husband.
4.Health & Sickness: I'll continue later..bedau breakfast.
