Wedding Invitation

My childhood friend, Richard Koh & his wife,Ai Geok who also happens to be my friend from school, brought a wedding invitation card to my gates 3 days ago. Yes,their eldest daughter, Dr. Alisa is getting married to Mr. Anthony Law on Saturday,29th December,2007. The marriage will be solemnised at Queen Of Peace Chapel,Church of Matei Dei, Lutong at 9.00am and thereafter to a wedding reception at Boulevard Restaurant,at 6.30pm.
It seems there is a lot of 'happenings' on this date.
About Richard & Ai Geok, guess who the 'match-maker' or person responsible in getting them" to become as one" some 28 years ago. Yours truly, lah, who introduced & 'recommended' that they would make a suitable partner with each other. Praise God for that.

Last Christmas......

Uchu ku!(My grandchildren)

Mary,a doting grandma and adores it when she's being addressed as Ini Gwen. Each time we meet, she would never miss mentioning about her 'uchu ku' .Whenever we went travelling, like to KL & Kuching, her uchu's request to get a blouse or skirt would be up most in her mind before she got anything,if at all, for herself. "Ini,Ini,get me a blouse & a skirt, okay,ko Gwen & Chi-Chi" said grandma. The saying is true that grandparents tend to spoil & love their grandchildren more. "Wait til you have grandchildren next time then you will understand how I feel."said Ini Gwen. Gua caya sama lu. (I believe what you say)

Bacon & Egg for you,ma'am?

Yes,please....got tired with most of the food served at 2020's cafe so I decided to go for the western breakfast this morning. It's been quite a while since I last had bacon & egg for breakfast. It only costs RM5.50..value for money. It is quite filling.

Char Kueh/chakoi/whatever...

If you have problem biting into the char kueh/chakoi sold at kedai kopi yakin like me, I recommend you drive to the shophouses at Pujut 7,(near the bridge to Permyjaya) and try the chakoi, cucur pisang & doughnuts sold by a Malay couple, trading at the 5ft way of the Cash Sweep outlet. They start their business at 2pm. The chakoi are 'kerup-kerup yet soft'...do not give me gum ache biting into them unlike the chakoi from yakin. I like eating their doughnuts,3 pieces for RM1.00 & I can finish them all in one sitting with a mug of kopi c kosong. Eat your heart out, dunkin donut! The cucur pisang is equally crispy. This place is also one of our favourite hangouts & it is usually busy in the afternoon.
