Sebugey & 11 other SIDS members took that long ride by bus to Sibu to attend Sibu SIDS's Fund Raising Dinner on Saturday morning. . We felt we had to go because SIDS Sibu had always been supportive of our events .The bus left the station at 7.30am & made a stop at Batu Niah then Bintulu & also Selanggau. We finally reached Sibu at about 2.30pm & we took the taxi to Premier Hotel. It had been quite a while since I last went to Sibu,so I was quite impressed with the new market that they have and the surrounding.
YB Dato Seri Wong Soon Koh was the guest of honour during the dinner at Dewan Suarah & he made a pledge to donate RM10,000/- every year after he announced giving SIDS Sibu RM10,000/- during the dinner for them to reward the Dayak students on their educational excellence.Maioh diri duit ulih SIDS Sibu malam nya..only sponsored singers were allowed to sing. SIDS Miri collected among ourselves RM210/- to sponsor our very own singer,Margaret Bennet to sing. Since most Iban singers come from Sibu,we were entertained by quite a number of them,including Augustine Merican, Hendrew Uka Alo,Urai,Josephine Jalin & a few others.
The function ended about 11pm & we took the taxi back to the hotel. Since the coffee house was still open,we had tea & coffee plus the cheese cakes. We slept at 3.30am,talking..becerita.
Around 8.00am we had our breakfast;after breakfast,some went to the market to get buah dabai,matal/tinduh etc.

Muk,Cr.Remie & Tanuja kelut-kelut ba Coffee House ngirup tea & kopi.
We left Sibu at 12.30pm & reached Miri at 8.30pm last night. Very tiring...agi bas- lag tu....(urang jet-lag), enti enda setegal support nuan Ir. Alice Jawan & bala members ke bukai,lembau nepan bas 7 jam...asai ke ngena bilun ari KL ke Dubai penyauh ari Miri ke Sibu. Anyway,we had a great time.TQ!
