did you know that the balinese padi growers pay tax to the gov't for the padi? the villagers all share the padi fields. they plant padi twice a year.

buffet lunch at a restaurant in kintamani..a lot of multi-lingual tourist guides accompanying mat salleh and korean couples.
mt. batur,1717 ft above dea level, before the clouds engulfed it. the last time the volcano erupted was in 1974. the dark brown patches on the feet of the mountain are the result of the lava flowing from the crater..pelaba ka aku.
lake batur..resembles lake como in italy or lake lugano.
the clouds slowly engulfing the mountain..it was cold...but nice while having lunch at the balcony of a restaurant overlooking the mountain and lake.

3 of us did not dare to get out of the van upon seeing monkeys everywhere at Uluwatu Temple. If I had known that monkeys were everywhere at the temple ground, I would gladly give this part of the tour package a miss but Pak Nyoman came back for the 3 of us and assured us that especially me that he would take care of me. see,what a good tour guide. I prayed real hard that none of the monkeys walking about would jump onto my shoulders as one did jump onto the back of a Japanese girl after it was attracted by her dangling earrings. Eeechak... Visitors are advised to take off their necklaces,earrings or anything that would attract the monkeys especially munching food on your way to the temple. The monkeys are here to protect the temple,ko Pak Nyoman. Indai Dian would have no problem with the monkeys after having been on friendly terms with the orang utans...( To Indai Dian...sayang,amat berani nuan mangku urang utan nya. Aku remban meda sida nya even on tv.)
kecak ramayana and fire dance at uluwatu hindu temple. all the men have to do are to say'kecak..kecak..kecak' throughout the drama. quite an interesting drama..you have to see for yourself if you haven't done so.

Nya kenu kelia,ba pulau bali,pulau ke kumbai sida 'island of the gods' dia deh ba hutan ke benama Dandaka,Sita,bini Rama bisi meda siko rusa ke manah sekali,rusa emas,betanda depan mua iya. Dia meh iya lalu ngasoh laki iya,Rama, nangkap/ngasu rusa emas nya. Laban laki iya sigi amat sayau ke Sita,dia meh tudah tuai lalu nurut utai ko bini iya lalu nurun ngasu rusa emas tu tadi. Tang tudah Rama takut ninggal ke Sita kediri,dia iya ninggal Sita ba tangan menyadi iya Laksamana. Enda lama udah nya bisi utai balat munyi kacau,dia Sita ngasuh Laksamana ngesah Rama takut ke iya ke lesi bebadi. Ka pan enda Sita lalu tinggal kediri ba utan Dandaka.
Sita dikelingi magic circle...iya ke bendar ba cerita amat,bala kera ke nyaga utan tu. 
Ha..ha..ha..lagi asai nuan..aku nangkap nuan,ko Rhawana madah ke Sita.
Trijata betemu enggau Sita ke benong deka munuh diri. Nasib endar iya tumu datai enti enda tusah ati Rama meda Sita munuh diri.
while waiting for pak nyoman to fetch us at 4pm to go to the next item on our prog,we decided to look at the surrounding tiny shops near the hotel and all of a sudden,we saw and heard a funeral procession coming our way. see,how smartly dressed the balinese even in times of sorrow.

part of the package tour that rba offered to us was a 2hr spa massage at ratu spa centre. after breakfast a van was sent to the hotel to fetch us to the spa. here are some pix of us getting ready to enjoy the massage. the centre is a 3 storey high building with a lot of rooms for them to do the massage. nyamai endar tubuh di massage.
