Claypot mee, laksa & yam puff washed down by THE REAL THING!

....and not forgetting the REAL THING..Coca-Cola. A Coke addict, nothing tastes better than a can of coke, drink it straight from the can. Oooh the ...the 'gas' that comes from the drink. The interesting part,of course,is when you.................................. BBBBBBBBBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRP!

Wantan soup ala 2020

Being a regular at Cafe 2020,there are times when one does not know what else to eat.Regular? (5 Out of 7 days,my friends and I would have our coffee mornings/breakfast/meetings,networking and bonding there.) Do not despair, the latest addition to the otherwise "stagnant" menu is the Wanton soup. For RM2.50, it's a bargain. Why a bargain? The wanton filling is the same as the filling in the siew mai,the fried siew mai& the "kapal layar"(looks like the sail of a yatch). For 3 pieces of siew mai,the price is RM2.20. In the wanton soup, you get to have 9 pieces of the wanton floating with the vegetable in oyster sauce stock.Try it the next time you visit Cafe 2020. I do not know why I am promoting this cafe..not that I ever get a complimentary mug of Nescafe C Kosong.

Wedding... .Part 4

Here come Debbie and Jeff......hand in hand. About 35 Ibans went to Perth via Brunei by Royal Brunei Airlines during the Chinese New Year break to attend the wedding... Yes, probably the largest group of Ibans travelling together& staying at the same apartments. We had a great time. The wedding was great! God Bless you, Debbie & Jeff.

Wedding Part 3

Since October,2006 to Sept 2007, there must had been 5 or was it 6 or 7 weddings that we attended, out of which, four were held in Kuching,1 in Perth and the rest in Miri. This wedding ceremony took place at St.Thomas's Cathedral.Never had I been to a church wedding that was packed with people. The flowers and the deco were breath-taking.

Wedding...Part 2

Yet another joyous occasion! Relatives from as far as Kanowit and Sg. Asap came for the wedding. Let's......LILIIINNG..LIILINNG...liliiing til dawn.

Wedding....almost a year ago.

Don't you just love weddings? In just a matter of two weeks in between, two cousins got married to their respective spouses. There's no photo of the other wedding because it was raining in Damai Beach and my camera's batteries decided to take a BRRRRREEaaak! Family members that're long gone and forgotten somehow resurface during these occasions. Oh! So many stories to tell and so many grey hairs to count.

Chocolate Eclairs with fresh cream

TTowards the 2nd last day of my stay in Perth, I found out about this bakery in the Factory Outlet shopping mall (opposite City Stay Apartments). I cannot remember the name of the bakery but I highly recommend that during your next visit to Perth, please check this out. If you go just before the bakery closes, most of the pastries & cakes would be marked half price...don't worry, they're still good.

SIDS, Miri Gawai 2007 Visit To The Female Ward

Doesn't look like we're visiting the sick. It looks more like posing for a beauty pageant.
Anyway,it's the good intention that counts. Afterall, we have to look our best to cheer the patients. You may ask.."Where are the patients?" We're about to pose with them when suddenly, we're told to evacuate because of a "small" fire somewhere in the hospital.
Apparently, it's only just a fire drill.....
