Years ago..actually some years ago, it was the 'in' thing to go to a hairstylist to have your hair cut and one had or infact, still has to pay quite a sum of money to have one's hair cut..especially so when the hairstylist had/has just got back from London,Paris or even Hongkong. Even though hair salons are 'mushrooming' in Miri, the apeks who run the barber shops are enjoying good business as well. This morning,D had to go to another barber shop because the one that he normally goes to was packed. Now,not only the money conscious men and school boys go to the apek barbers, even the trendy ones go to the apeks to have their hair re-styled. See the 2 young men entering the shop....amd it is only for RM8/- for a hair cut plus RM2/- for shaving the goatee. Value for your money!!!

Sorrow....
Two relatives died on the same day;my cousin's wife,Indai Lenny, who had a hole in the heart operation done on her some almost 10 years ago died in Kanowit. She was in her late 30s. My mum,who is already in Ng Geremai has to extend her stay at the longhouse.
Another relative ( from my aki Lakam side of the family from Kapit..so they said),Banyang Muling, brother of the late Selomah Muling who died last May,2007, also died,in Labuan, at the age of 49 years old. His body was brought back from Labuan yesterday afternoon. A few of us were at the Layang-Layang hangar to receive his body.
O My Loving Jesus,
forgive us our sins,
save us from the fire of hell,
lead all souls to heaven,
especially those, most in need of thy Mercy.
Amen.
Moral of the story: Be nice to people;here today, gone tomorrow.
