Buffet dinner at Cafe Rosita...

Ya..50yrs ago,1st August,1959,I was born at Sarawak Shell Oilfields Limited (SSOL) Hospital,Miri. Now that I have reached fifty years old......what's next? I pray for good health,food on the table,roof over our heads,God's Protection,Guidance,Providence,etc.

Hi guys! Thank you to all friends for the birthday wishes sent through FB & sms. Ya! I'm 50 yrs old today. Thank You good God Lord Almighty for Your Love,Compassion,Forgiveness & everything under Heaven that comes from You! & things in Heaven that You promise. I give Thee great thanks!!in Your Son's precious name,Our Lord Jesus,I pray. Amen...

Doing anything to celebrate the birthday? Like I said in some previous posts,I had given myself a pre-birthday treat when I went on that tour to Europe. That 18 days were probably the most splendid days I've ever had. My son,Nico's back for mid term break & Jill so kindly took all 3 of us out for lunch at Pete's Deli. Apai Jill's taking us out for a buffet dinner at Cafe Rosita this evening.

How I wish I had lots & loads of money so that I could take all of you out to celebrate with us. But as of now, I could only afford to buy you a cup of kopi o or ice lemon tea @Aseanika,4.00pm today.

Until then.."Agi Idup Agi Makai..Agi Gerai Agi Bejalai!!"

Killer dish..this dish,oyster Umai.. with all the cili padi,limau & cuka....is the best recipe for anyone who has constipation problems. Mulut aku nyau kembai di pansa cili padi. Ayuh!so very the pedas one! Geranti mati ukoi ti makai dish tu.

Laban Boss aku bisi pengawa di Kuching ari 2 tu tadi,aku alu di asoh iya tumu pagi ari 1 ke Kuching nyapu apartment kami duai. Iya datai malam ari 1. Sereta terengkah di Kuching,it's makai..makai..& makai,nyau ka pechah asai perut bendar endar makai. Ari Kuching datai ke Sematan kami raun jalan - jalan cari makan.

"Enda. Sapa nuan?"tanya Dulles.

"Margaret aku."ko Margaret Lajan.

Nya meh Dulles bisi betemu enggau classmate iya Margaret Lajan..baru iya betemu since 1967 udah sida iya abis Form 3.

"Enggau classmate kitai ke bukai,Uggah & Gani selalu aku betemu enggau."ko Margaret.

Dulles enggau OKK Mathew Gumba..urang baru datai ari Oman.

A Fund Raising Dinner was held in aid of St. Luke's new church building at The Pavillion, Parkcity Everly Hotel,Miri on 25th July,2009. The Patron for the dinner was none other than YB Datuk Peter Chin Fah Kui,the MP for Miri. The Lord Bishop Bolly & his wife Mary Jean & Fr. Nelson Ugas also came all the way from Kuching to grace the function besides YB Francis Harden,YB Lee Kim Shin,YB. Aidan Wing,Sebastian Ting,Watson Bangau,Temenggong Atong,Datuk Hasan Sui ,Michael Pilo & the other local dignitaires. About 67 tables were sold for the dinner.

The YBs made their contributions along with the other parishoners as well. Those who contributed RM1000/-- & above were called to the stage to present a mock cheque to the Lord Bishop. There were many sponsored singers that night. From our table we had Mrs. Karina Dundang who was sponsored by Datin Maudie Hardin to sing "Bila Larut Malam". While Karina was on the stage,she managed to get the YBs & a few others on the VIP tables to give more money before she started singing. She managed to get more sponsorships & all in all,she managed to collect RM1,050/- for St. Luke's Church. Well done,Karina.

The amount that was collected that night almost totalled to RM60K excluding the profit from the sale of the dinnet tickets & grants that were promised by the YBs. Hopefully all pledges would be honoured. It was altogether an enjoyable night, mixture of everything especially songs which under normal circumstances would raise eyebrows from some church elders. The way I see it,if songs of P Ramlee/Saloma or Ricky El were sung for a good cause,here, for a new church building in Sri Aman,then,SING!...Bujang Runggu Ensing..Pujaan Hati Ku..Anang ninggal ke aku etc.
