Sunday 6th Jan 2008

As usual every Sunday after church service, the breakfast stop would be at the kedai kopi at Kwangtung Road. I thought I saw Apai Elliot in church just now. I did not recognise him for a moment because I could not see his neck. It was well covered by the collar of his blue shirt which made him look even darker and he's put on more weight. He looked as if he had been compressed. Ahh..Occupational Hazard in St. Pete's,I guess. I was teasing Capt just now..your nephew's in town..she just managed a smile saying that she's not feeling well. It seems that a lot of people are not feeling well. Jill's been sick since Xmas eve with nose bleed on top of the common cold symptoms that she had to be turned back from taking the sea survival course at Sri Bima's last week.
Another Wedding Invitation from the owner of GK Supermarket,whose eldest son,Yang Yang is getting married on 19th January,2008. A few days ago he phoned me asking for my full name,my mum's & brother's and then his mum called requesting for the correct spelling for D's name. I thought it was very sweet & polite of them wanting to get people's names correctly spelt. Another thing that made me smile was when Yang Yang said,"Aunty,I want to invite you to my wedding. Ya, I'm getting married." My answer was,"Oh..ya..no wonder I saw the workmen busy at work painting the other house and you're doing the inspection." All the time I thought he was too young to get married. He should be 26 years old this year,just a few months older than Jill because I still remember both his mum & I, were commenting on the size of each other's tummies, some 26yrs+ ago.
