Typhoon Ramasun

It's the 'tail' of Typhoon Ramasun from the Philippines that brought the freak storm to Miri & not the 'tail' of Cyclone Nargis. Last night according to the weather report it was supposed to make its way again around 7pm but it was only reduced to some mild winds. Thank you,Lord. We have to keep praying to ward off the typhoon as it is expected to last until Saturday.

Ribut..Biau Balai..freak storm

Apoooo!!!!ti enda salah aku kira ke pukul lapan setengah di malam maia meda berita ba tv,dia deh aku meda sida curtains berdancing di kebu ke ribut. Nya ga baka munyi ribut,nyau baka bunyi baka ke di peda kitai ba wayang antu. Bunyi sida spandek roofing rumah jiran kami endang munyi ke malu tin. Sekeda lighting points ba rumah bisi padam. It lasted about an hour but it sure was destructive. I have taken a few snaps of my neighbours repairing their roofs.

Di pelaba ke aku kami di Miri kena iko cyclone nargis. Apai jill madah kada enda tu ke the end of the world,ko iya.

Last night,Sunday,11th May,2008,despite the strong winds & rain,the Elimination Round for the Kumang Iban & Keligit contests managed to attract quite a crowd of 'die hard' fans & supporters of the contestants. It was supposed to be held at the Musical Corridor but due to the weather condition,the management kindly let us make use of the ballroom. Thank you to Eastwood. We only need 6 finalists for each category,so to those contestants who did not make it to the final,try again next year.
