Apa nama?

I couldn't help smiling to myself when I read an article online about Dr. M's new yatch being named APANAMA...a word starter that he used to say each time he replied or said something. I used to poke fun at friends when they use starter words like "ANU NYA, NYA MEH,NYA BAH,APA DAMA,eeehhhnama nya tadi?" & a few other words. As I grow older during the last few months,I too, have problems trying to put words,join my thoughts in constructing a sentence. Most times the mind just goes BLANK. I always forget what I want to say & I always end up saying,"Nama utai ka sebut aku tadi? (What did I want to say just now?)
So the next time you have a chat with me or your other friends that are having problems in getting their thoughts together or getting the right words to continue a sentence,HAVE PATIENCE!!

Swine Flu......damn it!!!

Sorry for using the swearing word early in the morning..... Yeah! Several years ago some friends planned on going for a trip to Europe & the day after they had discussed about the trip,there was the bombings in London. The plan was cancelled. To the present day,just as we're about to pay for the trip to Europe + 5 days extension stay in London which about 6 of us have had planned 2 months ago to go/make,then comes the Swine Flu. So how?
A concerned friend asked whether we were going ahead with our trip & even went on to say that it wouldn't be nice to be photographed wearing masks. I have not given the answer to the question a thought,yet. See,how it goes! I could write the first lyrics of the song "Leaving on the jet plane"..yes,all my bags (actually one bag) are packed,I'm ready to go! I have the pound sterlings & Euros nicely placed in an imitation LV purse given/bought by a kind friend who throughout her trip in Bangkok was thinking of me. I would transfer some of the notes to another purse given by Mang which she bought in Istanbul recently. (Her daughter brought it over last week when she came here.) Oh ya! Another kind friend even 'lent' me her sterling pounds when she saw I had difficulty getting the currency in Miri. "Ni,bisi aku sterling pounds ti nuan ka ngena dulu..kasih meda nuan begigia ke pounds nya..tang aku enggai di pulai ke nuan duit ringgit. I want it in sterling pounds,ni nemu aku ka kin ila," ko towkay neo Agnes.
(A friend 'lent' to me her sterling pounds when she saw I had difficulty getting the currency in Miri ). I must get hold of another friend,Jacky..I want to borrow her purse so that I won't spend much money at all. Jacky just got back from HCMC & she brought USD$100 only & came back with US$37/-. Masih ada balance. So I must insist she lends to me her purse ambi enda rua...(so that I won't over spend)
Ha..ha..ha..
If everything goes according to plan,6 of us shall be going to Rome first,on 30th May by Thai Airways. It shall be a Roman/Italian gawai.. my second trip to Italy,1st trip to Austria,3rd trip to Switzerland,Germany,Belgium,Holland,France & England. I'm surrendering my plan to God. A 50th birthday treat for myself & after that no more long distance travelling for me. I call it quits!!

!!! Gayu Guru Gerai Nyamai Chelap Lindap Nguan Menua...A pra Gawai dinner was held last night at Han Palace,Grand Palace Hotel,Miri. Surprisingly the turnout was very good. We managed to fill the 27 tables. Even though Gawai Dayak is officially celebrated on 1st June or rather on 31st May beginning with the family dinner,SIDS, Miri ,as always except last year,without fail,would have our Pra Gawai ahead of anybody or any organisation. The programme went as accordingly planned & prayed for....We give Thanks to God for overseeing our work that night!

Three of our members children received incentive awards for their excellent results in last year's public examinations. Ferguson Nobel Anding received RM100/- from SIDS Advisor,Puan Karina Sijun while
