Biar Mati Di Tangan Sulu

This song originally a Malay song but the late Michael Jemat put Iban lyrics to the song and hence this song is called "Biar Mati Di Tangan Sulu". I think this translation for the title of this song is most suitable: Let me/Rather die in your arms, darling. HmmmHmmm!
What prompts me to write about this song is the fact that lately, listeners to radio Iban WaiFM & radio Iban MiriFM,without fail, would request the deejays to spin this song several times a day. No kidding. It has a very catchy tune, the music is great, the sound of the guitar & the lyrics.
During the 20th anniversary of SIDS Bintulu, the Resident of Bintulu, a Malay sang this song in perfect Iban. Apa lagi, he had everybody from the VIP's table dancing on the floor with the exception of the president of SIDS. The exco members from Kuching were seen 'swaying away', kenyut-kenyut. ha..ha.. I guess,it's that saying,"Girls just want to have fun." Wish it had been a fun night during SIDS 50th anniversary dinner in Kuching last month. That's the problem when too many vips are around at any function. They kill the fun and take the joy out of people wanting to have a good time with fellow members from other branches. what to do?..if you want them to contribute to your fund raising dinners, kan.??
