....Osart & Veron invited us together with Edward & family,Angking & John to their beautiful home for a sit down dinner this evening to usher 2009 with good health & all good things for the new year. John led us in the prayer. Needless to say,Veron,being a good cook prepared a sumptuous western styled menu for us to feast on. Not only is she a good cook,both Osart & her are excellent hosts. We wined & dined. As usual I brought my camera but as usual I left the memory card at home so there's not that many photos that I could snap.

Anyway,Veron & Osart,thank you for a lovely evening.

Oh ya..what did we have for dinner? Baked salmon,roasted lamb shoulder & ham plus asparagus & broccoli. Move over Nigella,we also have a cooking goddess in Veron. Ha..ha..

Years ago I remember some omputeh ladies said how lucky most women here were that after giving birth we were 'pampered' for a month & more for some. A friend's omputeh's wife was seen in the swimming pool after having given birth for less than a week. Yaks! I would not want to be in the same pool with her unless she had given birth by Caesaren section.
For me,2 weeks of complete rest would be sufficient unless the nen nen/nan nan (breasts) do not swell to ms.dollyparton's size & the free flowing milk do not show on the tee shirt. Looks like the minister doesn't suffer from what a new mum here suffers from. Bless her!

The 'beauty' of blogging.....

With the announcement that the authorities are going to get tough on bloggers who post 'insensitive'/sensitive issues,whateverlah,it comes to mind or rather I had been warned by my better half to be extra careful on what I should write.
I like blogging for the simple reason that whatever 'nonsense' that I blogged about,I somehow do get the attention of friends or other readers. Unlike if I were to talk in a group of say,10 ladies,the chances of you being heard or given a chance to speak your mind is pretty limited & the likelihood that you'd be heard is slim. When you talk there is a chance that you would be interupted because your friends have some similar experiences/ideas that they also want to share with you & the others.
Baka pagi tadi bala kami,10 iko semua bisi breakfastba Suncity Food Court kira pukul 9 pagi. Laban lama enda betemu maioh endar cerita & 2 jam enda tentu cukup jam berandau,semua 10 iko masing masing bisi utai di sebut. Tang ti blogging,maioh endar utai ulih di tulis laban nuan kediri naip utai ka di padah ke nuan. Betul tak?
I'd better go now..ka nganjong BIG BOSS kami sebilik jogging. Adios!

Selamat Taun Baru 2009

Asai ke bedau aku wish bala readers a Happy & Blessed 2009 ngagai bala ke nadai di kirum aku text messages. Nadai enggau bala new year countdown laban berasai lelak bekau bendar bekrismas di Kuching. Tiga empat ari tu tak tebantai pengelelak,asai ke kena palu. Anyway,nya meh cerita aku.
Taja pan agi Xmas season,Xmas tree agi degi degi tang nadai utai di empa ti sema bisi temuai datai. Pagi tadi kami menyanak sembiang;on New Year's day itself bisi ga sembiang bansi nadai enggau urang countdown to welcome 2009. Pagi tadi Ven Archdeacon Solomon Chong,Vicar baru St. Columba's Church bisi enggau sembiang Iban service. Penuh gereja pagi tadi;Puji Tuhan!
Ujan malam ari: Bisi kita ke diau menua Miri ngasai ke ujan beberapa malam ke udah tak nyelaie? Baka di malam,balat balat ujan enggau angin,munyi ke tebubuh munyi dah nya all of a sudden ujan nya ngetu. Enda lama ujan baru ga iya enggau pemalat-malat iya...munyi ke runtuh langit. This went on & on kumbai enda nemu badu tang baka iya ke ujan datai all of a sudden,iya tau badu suddenly. Nasib ga nadai banjir baka ba menua bukai.
Credit Crunch: Menua Miri @ Boulevard area & Bintang Plaza tak seruran jam utai dia,including Servay. Kira tak semua tempat sesak maioh urang bebeli nyendia ke bala anak ka nurun sekula. Bisi kawan aku siko complained madah ke baju putih kena anak laki iya diatu rega RM20.- nadai agi bisi bebelasan rega baju ko iya. Cikgu Doria nusui sinu meda bala anembiak ke bebayar ke tu & nya menati tudah ke nadai maioh datai pemisi. Ukai semina menua urang putih ke kena economic downturn,ba kitai ditu bisi meh. Bala ke gawa ba factories,workshops pan bisi kena retrench. Bala kitai dulu di retrench company,sida Indon/Bangla dudi sida retrench laban gaji di beri asoh sida kira ke minimal. Udah maioh pulai ke rumah panjai bala keda ke bekuli di Kuching.
Rega getah nadai endar ga diatu;lada udah lama di leka laban baja kelalu mar. Bala ari banks bendar endar tipon ngasoh ngambi ASB loan,ngasoh top up. Nama kena mayar tiap tiap bulan? Sida ke ba bank ngasoh kita ngambi loan nemu endar,ti kitai laun mayar munyi nama kaung kaung nagih. Ti bisi duit tau meli property,koMr. B. The price of houses would go down this year,ko iya. Another suggested ti bisi duit meli foreign currencies baka pounds sterling & aussie dollars. The words are TI BISI DUIT.......TI BISI DUIT..ti bisi duit..ti bisi duit....
