Ketinggalan zaman ( still in 80s technology)

D & I,when it comes to all these latest things like the tv flat screen,Hi Fi system,(you see, I don't even know the names ) the Bravia,Sony,plasma tv & so forth,we are still in the 'stone age' era. We do not think twice when it comes to spending money on food but when it comes to buying all these,we'd take years to decide and by the time we are ready to buy, the things have gone digital.You should see Capt's..Home theatre,flat screen..very canggih.
As you can see, we have 3 or 4 miserable radio cassette players bought in the 80s including the Sony Hi Fi system but now they are only good for station Radio Iban. It's only when the maid comes thrice weekly that the station's moved to the Malay station. The cassette players cannot be used because the cassettes got stuck. Like in previous years Jill would play the music from the computer but this year the speakers are out. I need to ask Johnny to check the speakers. ( not Johnny Leong,lah..Johnny of MPlus Computers)
I don't hear much Xmas songs on the airwaves. By now, the DJs should have started with the Xmas songs. I must remind Mary to play some when it's her turn to work. So yesterday,that was before I went to collect my car, I went to Boulevard with Nel,after tea at Everyday Cafe. We went to the top floor as that's my favourite floor with all the home/household things.
See, this is what I've got. I gave myself an early Xmas present. It costs me RM199..the cheapest... just a fraction of what Capt paid for hers. It 's considered a bargain considering the pleasure it gives me when I listen to the music. It's about the closest thing to getting a SONY product. .surround sound system,jazz,cinema,disco,acoustic... oklah.. except can't play DVD. Now, I must look for Jim Reeves,Bing Crosby & Nat King Cole's CDs because the ones I have of them are in the cassette tapes form.

Kereta sakit..

Aku tadi maioh pejalai;pagi tadi nganjong kereta ke selalu bai aku beganjuh ngagai mechanic ngasoh iya meresa kereta. Akai dai,maioh penyakit kereta selain ari ke servicing,absorber (betul?) wheel alignment ( asai ke bakanya sebut iya tadi) enggau tayar nyau jai kena pakai besi.(something like that) Enda tau enda ditukar tyre nuan nya,ko mechanic.Berapa bayar semua?ko aku. RM320 ko iya.... number kereta aku disebut iya. Udah aku nyangkai ke D ba Bulatan Park, aku lalu ke kedai tyre sepiak The Other Office. Apalagi,senyum towkay tyre meda aku,laban tiap kali aku kia,sigi bulih bisnis belama iya. Mechanic madah ke tyre sepiak tu jai,ko aku. Di peresa tudah;ukai semina siti jai,3 iti jai ko iya. Apuuu! Iga nya 3 iti jai? Peda nuan tu,ko iya. Okay..okay..tukar 2 iti dulu. Berapa tyre siti?RM250...another apuu. Tukar 2 iti aja..lain minggu tukar 2 iti da agi,ko aku. Tidak lama Xmas,ko iya. Yalah, Xmas..sini sana barang rosak..sana sini mahu pakai duit..mana ada duit mahu beli kacang pusu,ko aku muchau asoh iya.
Saritu aja udah nyampau nya duit dikena. Pagila 2 iti agi tyre ka ditukar.KADAMBAI!!munyi ko Nel. Aruh iya,ko D,enda kala ngetu tudah kereta,ari pagi sampai ke lemai,ke Kanowit,Bintulu,Seria......on & on.........

Konon nya...

After the beganjuh or car ride the car needed petrol,so we stopped at Sg Teraban Petrol station where I bought B$10 worth of petrol. wonder if theywould allow us to buy a second time,say,on reaching KB,we bought B$10 & on leaving KB,we bought another B$10/-? Just wondering...
Konon nya,ko Dayangku Nelly, bala sida awangku-awangku enda entu rindu ka "TEAPOT & CUPS" nyadi ka lambang sida iya dia. Baka kitai di Miri, 'SEAHORSE' jadi ka lambang kitai (bisi nama for it but as of now enda ingat kati ka nyebut nya) & in Kuching,bala sida 'CATS'. Kebuah sida enda rindu laban reti ba sida iya,sida iya dia enda gawa,enda ngereja utai,tembu taking a break aja-aja,ngirup kupi all day long everyday....kenu ko Dayangku Nelly. ( Di Miri,Nelly tu, Captain Nelly, tang ti iya di Brunei,iya Dayangku Nelly laban iya di ada di Brunei.)
According to Nelly, the locals are not fond of the 'Teapot & cups' as the town's mascot (something like that) . They think it potrays that they do nothing but taking a break,drinking tea/coffee all day long,everyday....so said Dayangku Nelly. (When in Miri, Nelly is known as Capt Nelly but when in Brunei,she's known as Dayangku Nelly because she's born & bred in Brunei)
