Food to eat when in Kuching

Char siew & hainamese chicken rice with curry sauce..ate these before we left for the airport. The place was packed with people. This eatery is located behind Hock Lee Centre, not far from Sarawak Securities.
Sio bee & har kau from Fock Hai,Song Kheng Hai Road,Padungan

Keropk at Benson's

Jam tarts from Choon Hui's,near Grand Continental Hotel
D, enjoying a bowl of kway tiaw & a soup of pig's organs soup at Bishop's Gate. The coffeshop is the only one that I have come across where total strangers just sit with you, most without asking, just sit,eat the food & disappear.

I must have my bowl of fishballs tunghoon soup and the satay babi at the stall opposite a Chinese temple at Carpenter's Street.

....and the satay babi.. the satay sauce is delicious.

Pork pies, yam puffs, curry puffs and century egg pies...the shop is at one of the lanes along India Street.

Popiah at Choon Hui..the detached house near to Grand Continental Hotel.

Popiah..a must when you visit Kuching. The lasksa was nice, that's why I did not take the photo. Finished.
