I know it is only the 6th day of Christmas and 'tis a season to be jolly, according to a lyric of a xmas favourite, but in Miri & I'm sure elsewhere, 'tis seems to be the season for mating. I don't mean it in a crude way..just trying to make the sentence more appealing. You know how it is,during Advent,i.e before Xmas, Christians are not supposed to get married. D& I were one of the culprits who defied that ruling. We got married on 20th December,1980...& I know quite a number of people also committed that SIN..getting married during Advent. After Xmas everyone seems to get hitched. Wedding dinners everywhere. The bridal shops are busy and so are the salons, where not only the bridal party go there for hair do & make up but the invited guests, too.

You see, I went to another wedding last night..they somehow managed to abstain from getting married during Advent, being good Christians, afterall dad is a church warden at Matei Dei. In that Boulevard restaurant alone, 2 weddings took place. A few engagement parties were held last night, one of which was the engagement of Endu's son to her late mother's best buddy's grand daughter. Confused? Vernon's engagement to Jill (not my Jill). Congrats to Vernon & Jill. Thank you Endu for not telling me..I had to get the news from Edward/Awat. Last night, the entourage from Kuala Lumpur in the form of Mang & family...especially flown in to attend another engagement party. Congrats to James & fiancee.

About the wedding last night, I was and am happy for Ai Geok & Dimang and share their joy when Alisa got married to Anthony. The crowd made up mostly of church people. The food was plentiful & I saw so much wastage.
